The Romans transferred the Sangiovese grapes that grew in the Land of Israel and made them the leading variety in the Italian wine industry. In time, the strain disappeared from the country and was only recently returned to it. This wine is made from the Sangiovese grapes grown in the Galilean vineyard and harvested under optimal conditions of ripening.
