Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. A Bordeaux blend that gets a ‘kick’ from the Rhône region. It features many of the earthy, green aspects of Bordeaux, with a smoky-meaty touch. The palate is tannic and acidic, very young. The elegant attack gives way to a feeling that this is a wine with weight and body, which nevertheless still maintains freshness and airiness. Very suitable for a variety of grilled dishes—rich cuts, offal with complex flavors, and more. Vegetarians and vegans will greatly enjoy it as an accompaniment to complex mushroom and lentil stews. Aerate well before pouring. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 degrees.
