It was clear to us that a blend of wine and eau de vie from sticky grapes that had developed inside the belly of a used brandy barrel would be different. Not only because of the way it is aged, but mainly from the knowledge that tarragon, cappers, bergamot orange peels, rosebuds and almonds are not standard seasoning additions. The result is a dry and aromatic Vermouth with nutty – citrus – earthy tones.

The Jullius Distillery was founded by Joov, a former media man, and alcohol restaurant critic, who decided to turn from a theorist into a man of action and produce alcohol himself. The distillery is today in Kibbutz Hanita, in front of an intoxicating view, where Joov produces grape grappa produced at the German refinery and also fruit schnapps such as mandarins, oranges, and citrons.
